What is a "Listing Agreement"?
A listing agreement is a contract between the seller and the realtor.  This agreement says the listing agent has the right to handle the sale of your home and lays out the terms of the agreement.

Who pays the buyer's agent?
The seller is usually responsible for paying commission for both the listing and buyer's agent.  Commissions are typically paid at closing out of the proceeds of the sale of your home.

What type of information will my realtor need from me?
 • Your financial goals regarding the sale of your home
 • Preferred timing for a sale
 • Disclosure of any defects the property may have
 • Details about the positive aspects and upgrades in the home
 • Copy of existing survey

How does a realtor figure out the asking price?
Your realtor will do a Current Market Analysis (CMA) of your home.  This includes an evaluation of recently sold homes in your neighborhood that share similar attributes to your home.

How will a realtor market my home?
Every realtor has their own unique style for marketing a home.  Our team implements a comprehensive marketing plan including pre-listing home staging and repairs, professional photography, print and online marketing, open houses and other steps to maximize your sales price in the shortest time possible.

How long from contract to close?
Typically, the time from an executed contract to the closing on your home is around 30 days.  We can work with your needs to negotiate additional time in your home if necessary.
